Our logo

The VSMM Society logo denotes a traditional fishing by birds: cormorants for more than 1,400 years in Gifu, and the first fish caught in a season has been dedicated to the Emperor.

  • the first "V" denotes the bow of a small fishing boat,
  • the second "double S" expresses both the beautiful Nagaragawa river and a pair of cormorants (they are in love with each other)
  • the 3rd and 4th "MM" show the bridge across the river,
  • the red circles denote the torch when fishing, and show dreams and passions of youth toward the future.

This was designed by a designer in Gifu and a little bit by me. I like this logo very much and do hope the torch of our society will
glow in red forever.
