| VWH 30th anniversary of the international Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage 2002 marks the 30th anniversary of the international Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, commonly referred to as the World Heritage Convention (see whc.unesco.org). In celebration, the UNESCO World Heritage Centre in partnership with cultural and scientific societies and institutions, universities, and governments worldwide is organizing a VIRTUAL CONGRESS with series of themed Conferences focusing on issues of World Heritage in the Digital Age. Tying the physical gatherings together, the encompassing VIRTUAL CONGRESS will link eight global events through the internet and new media and via a printed color Joint Proceedings with accompanying DVD of the best research and media projects of WORLD HERITAGE IN THE DIGITAL AGE.
